HACE Thanksgiving Food Drive Ends Nov. 24

Old Dominion's Hourly and Classified Employee Association (HACE) is collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations through the morning of Nov. 24 for its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.

Food and money collected during the HACE food drive will benefit more than 150 ODU employees who could use extra help during the Thanksgiving holiday. The organization will present food boxes and gift cards, which are redeemable for turkeys, to the employees on Nov. 25.

Nominations for ODU employees to receive food baskets have doubled in the past week and HACE organizers are concerned that, with only a week left until the food drive ends, there will not be enough donations available to fulfill all requests.

Collection boxes are currently located in many buildings throughout campus. Monetary donations - cash or checks made out to HACE - should be sent to Tanya McCown, HACE treasurer, in the Office of Finance, 205 Rollins Hall.
