Norfolk Chamber Consort with "Bon Appétit!"
The Norfolk Chamber Consort continues its 47th season with a highly appetizing program entitled "Bon Appétit!" Evoking all things gastronomical, it opens with Three Pieces in the Shape of a Pear by Erik Satie as performed by the Invencia Piano Duo. This will be followed by the performance of La bonne cuisine: four recipes by Leonard Bernstein, with mezzo soprano Adriane Kerr accompanied by pianist and NCC's Artistic Co-Director Oksana Lutsyshyn. The Invencia Piano Duo will then return to complete the first half with the world premiere of Andrey Kasparov's piano-duo arrangement of Divertissement from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker.
The second half of the concert will be dedicated to the good humored Coffee Cantata by J.S. Bach, under the direction of NCC's Artistic Co-Director Andrey Kasparov. Soprano Elizabeth Hogue, bass Gregory Gardner and tenor Brian Nedvin will be joined by Wayla Chambo, flute; Gretchen Loyola and Anna Dobrzyn, violins; Anastasia Migliozzi, viola; Jeffrey Phelps, cello; Madeline Dietrich, double bass; and Oksana Lutsyshyn, harpsichord.
A pre-concert discussion by Andrey Kasparov will start at 7:15 PM. Light refreshments will be served after the concert.
