Dr. Tony Perez worked with EPPE student, Arianna White Levatich, and others to publish a paper about gender differences in two science self-efficacy beliefs. Published in The Journal of Experimental Education, the study examined college students who were in their final year of university. They asked students about post-graduation science career intentions and expected life satisfaction. Both kinds of science self-efficacy beliefs: scientific tasks and academic science self -efficacy, predicted career intentions and life satisfaction. Females, however, reported lower science self-efficacy despite having similar levels of prior academic achievement.
