How to Begin Receiving Services

Due to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 global pandemic, our office has expanded the way students can receive services. To protect the health and safety of all students and staff, we ask that you call our office to schedule an appointment and we are conducting virtual appointments whenever possible at this time.

Due to laws regarding clinical licensure, you must physically be in the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of your appointment to receive psychiatric, group, or individual counseling services.

If you will be in Virginia at the time of your appointments:

Please call our office at 757-683-4401 and press Option 1 to schedule an appointment.

If you are outside of the Commonwealth of Virginia:

Please call our office at 757-683-4401 and press Option 2 to speak with a telephone counselor. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to all registered ODU students.

Paperwork Must be Completed Before Your Initial Appointment

On the day of your initial appointment (and some subsequent appointments), you will be asked to complete some paperwork, which you should do before your appointment is scheduled to begin. You will receive a text message with the password that is valid for that day. This message is typically sent out about an hour before your appointment, and you should follow the instructions below:

  1. Click on the URL: https://oducounseling.titaniumhwc.com/
  2. Type in the password you received via text message and click OK.
  3. From the list, complete the forms that your counselor instructed you to do.
  4. Once your forms have been processed, your counselor will send a Zoom invite for your appointment to your student e-mail.
  5. Join the Zoom meeting at the time of your appointment.

Unfortunately, if your paperwork is not completed prior to the start time of your appointment, you will need to be rescheduled.
