Muslims, China, and the Regulation of Religion

Please join Dr. Kristian Petersen, Assistant Professor in the Philosophy and Religious Studies Department, for a discussion on “Muslims, China, and the Regulation of Religion,” a contribution to the “Mainstreaming Stories: A Day of Solidarity with Uyghurs” international event.

2pm on Friday, April 26
BAL 1012

Join scholars and activists on April 26 to stand in solidarity with Uyghurs living in the People’s Republic of China. Currently, Uyghurs in the hundreds of thousands have been effectively taken prisoner in their homeland. Countless endure in concentration re-education camps; thousands more are subject to invasive government homestays; and virtually every Uyghur is subject to a high-tech cyber police state. Each lecture will explain this crisis and provide an opportunity for your questions to be answered.
