Center for Bioelectronics Interdisciplinary Research Seed Grant Program

Designed to stimulate interdiscilinary research between the Center for Bioelectronics investigators, the Center proudly supports seed grant programs that provide funding opportunities that serve as a catalyst for bio-related breakthroughs.

Bioelectronics Research Seed Funding

The goal of the Center for Bioelectronics Seed Grant Program is to serve as a catalyst for bio-related breakthroughs and stimulate new interdisciplinary research collaborations between the Center for Bioelectronics investigators. Seed grant opportunities:

  • Collaborative Seed Grants - New collaborative research project only. Two co-principal investigators from different academic units are required and both must be Center for Bioelectronics faculty members. Priority given to teams who have never worked together before. Learn more.
  • Core Facility Seed Grants - The Center for Bioelectronics Seed Grants for Core Facilities give investigators an opportunity to try out the Center for BIoelectronics core facility equipment. One Center for Bioelectronics investigator is needed per application. ODU or EVMS faculty members are eligible. Learn more.

Multidisciplinary Biomedical Research Seed Funding

A consortium of ODU's biomedical research leadership, comprised of the Deans from the Colleges of Engineering & Technology, Health Sciences, and Sciences, and the Director of the ODU Center for Bioelectronics, seeks to incentivize and support multidisciplinary biomedical research projects through a competitive intramural funding opportunity, the Multidisciplinary Biomedical Research Seed Funding (MBRSF) grant, established in 2020-21.
