Deborah Stearns honored with the 2019 Legacy Alumni Award

At a ceremony on October 24 at the Strome College of Business, Deborah Stearns of JLL, a longtime supporter of the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate and the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate, was awarded the Legacy Alumni honor. Annually, the Strome College of Business honors distinguished alumni and faculty who have stood out in their fields and community. The three categories are Legacy Faculty, Legacy Alumni and Future Legacy Alumni. Legacy Faculty are faculty who taught full-time for five years or more and who have been retired five years or more. Legacy Alumni are alumni who, over the course of their career, achieved significant outcomes professionally. Future Legacy Alumni are alumni who, in the first ten years after graduation, have established themselves as leaders of distinction, with high potential for a lifetime of significant achievement.

A native of Hampton Roads and an Old Dominion University Distinguished Alumna, Deborah is a senior vice president with JLL's Hampton Roads office. She specializes in office and industrial property sales and leasing. Deborah brings 40 years of experience in commercial real estate to assist clients and identify solutions. She was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in 2015 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Volunteer Hampton Roads in 2009.
