Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Credit at ODU
Three risk management and insurance (RMI) courses at ODU have been qualified for the Collegiate Studies for CPCU program. Students enrolled in a degree program at ODU can have these courses count toward the CPCU designation:
FIN 317 Principals in Risk Management and Insurance: can be used for CPCU 500 (a CPCU foundational course)
FIN 412 Property Liability Insurance Company Operations: can be used for CPCU 520 (a CPCU foundational course)
FIN 443 Enterprise Risk Management: can be used for ERM 57 (a CPCU elective course).
Students who receive a B or better can use two of these courses toward the CPCU designation, which will provide a big head start when looking for a career.
Students
Add value to your resume and get a jump start on your career by earning two course waivers towards the prestigious CPCU designation.
To qualify, students must complete their coursework at an approved college or university, and they must have earned a "B" or better as the final grade in the class. Students who earn two CPCU course waivers and complete Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct will also earn The Institutes' Collegiate Studies for CPCU Certificate.
