Action Items

Action Items

Welcome New Monarchs!

Below are the action items that are vital to having a great start here at ODU.

WSPT

The Writing Success Placement Test (WSPT) must be completed before enrolling into ENGL 110C (English Composition I).

For information on how to take the WSPT, and on the scoring rubric, please visit the Academic Skills website.

Course by Course Equivalency

Our Admissions office hosts an online database of previously approved transfer credits. It will show you how credits transfer into ODU from other colleges and universities. If a course is not on the list, it may indicate that it has not been transferred to ODU before and will need an official evaluation.

BS/BA Admissions

The Strome College of Business has a separate admissions process from the university acceptance. The admissions process will be throughly covered during Monarch Orientation. However, if you want to get a head start on reviewing the requirements, you can find them in the catalog.

AP/IB Credits

If you are expecting credits to transfer in from AP and/or IB scores from high school, visit our Scores Analysis website to learn more.
