This drop-in writing group provides a weekly time and space for all multilingual and international graduate students to come together as a community for 90 minutes of uninterrupted, productive writing time. Writing can be isolating, and these writing meet-ups will help us support one another throughout the writing process, provide some accountability checks-ins, and foster a campus writing community. Grab your favorite beverage and snack and then sit down with any current assignment, thesis, or dissertation—perhaps even your personal journal, blog, or creative writing project. All writing is welcome!
Each session will begin with brief introductions and goal-setting and will conclude with time for each of us to reflect on what we accomplished during the session.
Throughout the summer, a few of the writing sessions may be preceded or followed by a brief, focused workshop on a particular writing strategy, formatting standard (e.g., APA), or grammar tip.
