Research Participants Needed, $50 Payment

Faculty in Old Dominion University’s College of Health Sciences are conducting a study of physical activity level and ankle joint health in adults with and without a previous ankle sprain. To participate, you must be between 40-55 years old. (Other eligibility criteria apply.) All participants will complete questionnaires related to your health history, physical activity level, ankle function, and injury-related fear and undergo diagnostic ultrasound of their ankles to assess thickness of the joint cartilage. After these tests, participants will wear a physical activity monitor for 7 consecutive days. Participants who complete all procedures will be paid $50. If you are interested in participating, please contact the primary investigator, Ryan McCann at 757-683-6131 or rmccann@odu.edu.
