ODU Virginia Beach Shakespeare pop-up program 4/14

ODU Virginia Beach celebrating the 400th death anniversary of William Shakespeare

April 2016 will mark the 400th death anniversary of William Shakespeare. Communities across the US, Europe, and elsewhere, are organizing cultural events around this historic anniversary. Shakespeare’s world is in particular indelibly etched in the historically-rich area of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Therefore it is appealing to regional and national academic communities, as well as to the general public in and around Hampton Roads and Virginia.  ODU Virginia Beach will be hosting events celebrating “Shakespeare 400 years After” on two days, both open to the public.

Thursday, April 14, from 12:30 – 1:30pm, there will be continual pop-up mini performances including a Romeo and Juliet Combat Exhibition, musical excerpts from As We Like It: inspired by        Shakespeare, and excerpts of Titus Andronicus. Light refreshments will be served.
