Adopt-a-Stream Cleanup Event
<p> VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!</p> <p> Join your fellow faculty, staff, and students in a clean-up of the Lafayette and Elizabeth River. The University has adopted, through the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Adopt-A-Stream Program, the portion of the Lafayette River shoreline that lies behind Rogers Hall and along 49th Street and the Elizabeth River shoreline behind Whitehurst and Sailing Center. This is an excellent opportunity for you to participate in an activity that benefits the environment.</p> <p> Employees, please obtain authorization from your supervisor to attend. You may use your “community service leave” to take part in this event. </p> <p> Date: Thursday, April 24<sup>th</sup></p> <p> Time</p> <p> Elizabeth River @ 11:00 AM. (Meet at gazebo behind Whitehurst Hall)</p> <p> Lafayette River @ 1:30 PM.
