Description
Winning artworks from the 15th Annual Elie Wiesel Holocaust Visual Arts Competition for Students will be displayed in the Atrium at ODU Virginia Beach May 1-31. The competition, run by the Holocaust Commission of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, honors the memory of Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. Open to all students in grades 6 through 12, the primarily local competition often receives out-of-state entrants. The principal goal of the competition is to encourage students to apply lessons of history to the moral decisions that they make daily. Students may enter the competition at the website jewishva.org/holocaust-elie-wiesel.
