- Winning artworks from the 15th Annual Elie Wiesel Holocaust Visual Arts Competition for Students will be displayed in the Atrium at ODU Virginia Beach May 1-31. The competition, run by the Holocaust Commission of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater, honors the memory of Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel. Open to all students in grades 6 through 12, the primarily local competition often receives out-of-state entrants. The principal goal of the competition is to encourage students to apply lessons of history to the moral decisions that they make daily.
