- “Efflorescence” is an exhibition of the final thesis art projects created by students in the graduating class of 2017 from the Visual and Performing Arts Academy (VPAA) of the city of Virginia Beach. This exhibition displays 23 works in a variety of media, a culmination of individual research, conceptualization and visual expression which are created, curated and installed by students enrolled in this highly selective high school program. The opening reception celebrates Youth Art Month and features student performances and conversations about their work. RECEPTION: MARCH 16, 5 - 7 P.M.
