Description
Virginia Stage Company in collaboration with ODURep. Book, music and lyrics by Eric Schorr. Directed by Chris Hanna. This musical by the co-author of “Frog Kiss” tells the sweeping story of sea-level rise that flows through generations and across continents—from the shores of Virginia to Japan and Antarctica. Scientists, soldiers, poets and lovers strive to understand and master the power of the oceans that connect us all. This newest installment in Virginia Stage Company’s American Soil Series also highlights the longstanding collaboration with Old Dominion University Theatre, bringing Hampton Roads an original and timely work of music-theatre that captures the urgency of one of humanity’s most overwhelming challenges—to survive the rising sea. NOTE: This production is ticketed by the Virginia Stage Company, with a discounted rate via the link below for ODU students, faculty, and staff beginning with the Sept. 20 performance. Tickets may also be purchased by calling (757) 627-1234 and using the promo code ODU.
