As a member of the Lewis W. Webb, Jr. Society, you honor one of Old Dominion's greatest and most loyal visionaries. Dr. Webb served as Old Dominion's first president from 1962-1969. Prior to the presidency, however, Dr. Webb provided exceptional and dedicated service as an instructor, Assistant Director, and then Director of the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary. As a lifelong member and leader of the Old Dominion community, Dr. Webb would be immensely proud of where the institution is today.
The Webb Society was created to recognize the loyal alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends who share a vision of a shining future for the University. Society members are those who want to follow in the footsteps of our greatest leaders like Dr. Webb by making annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the Educational Foundation supporting the institution's academic priorities. Alumni of the last decade are also eligible with a separate membership requirement. Special recognition is provided within each level.
