Across Campus - A Photo Essay
Approximately 140 girls in grades 5 through 8 attended the Beach Girls Rock Empowerment Seminar, which was co-sponsored by Old Dominion University and Virginia Beach City Public Schools, on March 19. This year's theme was "Hidden Figures: The Power of Possibility and Vision." Girls could choose three strands of interest to gain exposure to careers in psychology, cybersecurity, physics, nursing and many other STEM-related fields. Whether you're Irish or not, St. Patrick's Day is a festive holiday leading into spring. This year, Old Dominion University had the luck of the Irish as a rainbow arched over the Education Building and the Ted Constant Convocation Center. We wonder if a lucky student found a pot of gold.
