Across Campus - A Photo Essay

The Barry Art Museum at Old Dominion University unveiled its first temporary exhibition, a nearly five-decade retrospective of New York abstract painter Joan Thorne. Twenty-eight large-scale oil paintings and two multi-media works on paper showcase the artist's works. "Joan Thorne: Light, Layers, Insight" opened to the public Feb. 1 and continues through May 10. Old Dominion University Executive Chef Robert "Bob" Patton takes 15 culinary teachers from Norfolk Public Schools on a tour of Broderick Dining Commons as part of their professional development day. The teachers participated in team-building activities and engaged with culinary team members to talk about career outlooks for high school students and graduates.
