Dozens of Monarch men, led by President John R. Broderick, participated March 29 in the University's fifth annual "Walk a Mile in her Shoes" event to raise sexual assault and gender violence awareness. The light-hearted even preceded the kick-off of the Green Dot ODU Campus Challenge, intended to reduce sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. Photos by David B. Hollingsworth

Monarch Dining Executive Chef, Robert Patton shows a clearly-pleased Ryder Kidman the pasta they made from scratch during a recent "Kids Cooking Class" at ODU's Children's Learning and Research Center. The Monarch Dining team led 18 excited 4-year-olds as they prepared two different varieties of fresh-made pasta. They cracked eggs, cut heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil, shredded parmesan cheese and hand-mixed dough. After meal prep was complete, the pasta was served to the students.
