Across Campus - A Photo Essay
The Monarch Marching Band's recent trip to the Republic of Ireland to participate in the City of Dublin's annual St. Patrick's Day parade is the subject of this week's featured gallery. The Monarchs performed several times while in Ireland, including the 45th annual Limerick International Band Parade where they won the Best International Band award. Photos by John Toomey.

This week's featured photo shows mechanical engineering student Cody Wright as he works intently to characterize the shape-memory alloys of wire. Shape-memory alloys are materials that can remember their original shape, after being elastically or pseudo plastically deformed by increasing their temperature. Wright is from Virginia Beach and is pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering.
