Online Faculty Learning Community Meeting Set for Oct. 22

The next Online Faculty Learning Community (OFLC) meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.

In these meetings, current and future teachers of online courses gather to share ideas - both online and face-to-face.

The OFLC was created last year by a group of teachers of online ODU courses who wanted to get together once a month to talk about teaching online.

The Oct. 22 meeting, in Room 422 of the Gornto Teletechnet Center, will include two-way video. The topic is "Audio/Video Feedback Tools like Jing, Audacity and Voicethread."

Faculty who attend will be asked to share their strategies for engaging students, and there will be a discussion of ways that teaching hybrid courses can improve learning outcomes.

To register to participate, visit http://clt.odu.edu and click EVENTS. For more information send an email to clt@odu.edu or call Susan Boze at 683-3172.
