Hello! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University (ODU). My background is primarily Human Factors, with allied interests in Industrial/Organizational and Social Psychology. I am also affiliated with the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) at Suffolk, VA.

Prior to arriving at ODU, I received my Ph.D. in Human Factors (Engineering Psychology) from the Aviation Human Factors Division at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Following this, I spent two years in the Dynamic Decision Making Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University as a Post-doctoral Fellow.

I recently established the Applied Decision Making lab at ODU, which is dedicated to the study of human decision making issues pertaining defense and homeland security, aviation, and, sustainable energy/climate change.
