Opportunities for Graduate Students

I am affiliated with the Human Factors Ph.D. program and the Experimental Psychology M.S. Program offered by the Psychology Department  at Old Dominion University.  I also hold an appointment at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) at Suffolk, VA. I invite any graduate students who are interested in the study of decision making in applied contexts such as military, defense and healthcare, to join my lab and get involved in research. Contact me to discuss the different  research opportunities available in the Applied Decision Making lab.

Opportunities for Undergraduate Students

The undergraduate years are the perfect time to explore new and exciting avenues of research and chart out a course for future study. Through the Supervised Research and Independent Study courses offered by the Psychology Department, you can gain valuable research experience while earning credits that count toward your psychology major and graduation. If you are a undergraduate who wants to get hands on experience with designing and conducting psychology experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, contact me to set up a meeting time.
Also, if you are at the point where you are seriously considering pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology, you may  contact me to discuss the different opportunities for research and study available in the Applied Decision Making lab and the Psychology department in general.

Participate in Our Fun Decision Making Experiments!!

Want to  experience first hand what its like to be - a soldier in the battlefield making important tactical decisions? an airport security worker looking for threatening objects in luggage? a physician performing surgery in the OR? We are always looking for interested individuals to participate in our simulated experiments. If you are enrolled in a course that offers research participation credit, you may sign up for our experiments at http://odupsychology.sona-systems.com/ or contact the Research Participation Administrator in the Psychology department. For further information, feel free to contact me.
