Hello! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University (ODU). My background is primarily Human Factors, with allied interests in Industrial/Organizational and Social Psychology. I also hold a joint appointment at the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) at Suffolk, VA.

Prior to arriving at ODU, I received my Ph.D. in Human Factors (Engineering Psychology) from the Aviation Human Factors Division at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Following this, I spent two years in the Dynamic Decision Making Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University as a Post-doctoral Fellow.

I recently established the Applied Decision Making lab at ODU, which is dedicated to the study of human decision making in simulated environments such as defense and homeland security, aviation, and, healthcare and medicine.
