Week 1       9/1/09	TTN*	Topic: Getting acquainted with the course and with each other. Discussion of My Freshman Year. Introduction to the Library. Prior to 9/8/09 every student is to have met individually with the instructor through Adobe Connect to discuss research topic choice for this class' assignments.
Week 2        9/8/09	BB*	Topic: Qualitative approaches Assignment: Research topic assignment due by 4 p.m. today. Submit as a Word document through BB.
Week 3       9/15/09	TTN*	Topic: Designing a Qualitative Study Assignment: Critique of qualitative journal article due by today. Submit as a Word Document through BB no later than 4 pm.
Week 4       9/22/09	BB*	Topic: Qualitative Data Collection Methods: An Overview
Week 5        9/29/09	TTN*	Topic:  Qualitative Interviews Assignment: Review of the Literature due today. Submit as a Word document through BB no later than 4 pm.
Week 6       10/6/09	BB*	Topic: Observations and Focus Groups - Procedures & Strategies. Document Analysis  Assignment: Interview Questions and Procedure due. Submit as a Word Document through BB no later than 4 pm. Once this is approved you can begin interviewing
Week 7     10/13/09	Fall Break	work ahead!!!
Week 8     10/20/09	TTN*	Topic: Analyzing & interpreting qualitative data. Reporting findings.  Assignment: Observation Procedure due. Submit as a Word Document through BB no later than 4 pm. Once this is approved you can begin observing
Week 9       10/27/09	BB*	work on manuscript..... Assignment: Third method procedure due. Submit as a Word document through BB no later than 4 pm. Once this is approved you can begin collecting this data.
Week 10      11/3/09	TTN*	Topic: Enhancing the quality and credibility of qualitative research and analysis.
Week 11     11/110/09	BB*	work on your manuscript and contrinue collecting and analyzing data
Week 12    11/17/09	TTN*	Topic: Ethical and political considerations Assignment: Data Analysis assignment due. Submit as a Word Document through BB no later than 4 pm.
Week 13      11/24/09	BB*	Topic: The Scholar Practitioner.  work on your manuscript
Week 14     12/1/09	BB*	work on your manuscript Manuscript due by December 5.
Week 15      12/8/09	BB*	Journal due by December 8
Week 16      12/15/09	BB*	rest.....relax...... and await the return of your assignments.
