Session 1 1/14/10	Welcome. Overview of Course. Success Tips presentation. Library presentation. Creating  a Time to write. On-air sharing of topics
Session 2  1/28/10	The Literature Review: Synthesizing the Literature and Identifying Significance of the Topic. Using Matrices.  Individual student up-dates Topic approval: Submit a two-page single-spaced paper by e-mail containing the following: (1) proposed topic of research, (2) a brief paragraph on the significance of this topic, (3) a very brief review of the literature, and (4) your proposed methodology.
Session 3  2/11/10	The Dissertation Committee: Expectations and Roles of each Member. How to Choose a Dissertation Chair. Crafting the Research Questions. Individual student up-dates.
Session 4  2/25/10	Peer Panel:  Lessons Learned. Research questions. Methodology.  Individual student up-dates
March 1	Literature Review due. submit via email to Dr. Duggan at mduggan@odu.edu by midnight tonight.
Session 5  3/01/10	Human Subjects Research Process. Research Questions and Methodology.. Individual student updates
