The Purpose of this
assignment is to introduce you to the Virtual Classroom, Pronoun. As you
particpate in this disucssion think about 1) how this type of writing
differes from the writing you do when you write an essay, and 2) the ways
that you can use this writing technology to facilitate essay or document
writing.
Before
Class
- The night before
class, you will get an email giving you a login and a password.
- Also, look at
the MOO
commands to orient yourself with how to move and talk in
this space.
During
Class
- Use the login
and password to enter the MOO.
- After you enter
ProNoun, use the MOO Commands to manipulate objects and converse with
your peers.
- As a class, I
want us to discuss the following questions:
- Are representations
arguments? Why or why not? (Use evidence to refute or support; consider
the webpages that you worked with on Wednesday and the hypertext
essay)
- What is the
subject that you want to represent and how would you represent it?
- After forty minutes
the instructor will stop the conversation and conduct a full class discussion.
- This conversation
will be recorded by the instructor.
