Workshop

Purpose

During today's class, you will be introduced to a multimedia software program, Sophie. Then you will be given the opportunity to work on your Multimodal Argument with the instructor's help.

Informal Presentations

Each student will have only two minutes to talk about the work they did for the IRB Application assignment. For this presentation you should briefly describe what you propose to research and highlight your design.

Demonstration: Meeting Sophie

The instructor will introduce you to Sophie by covering the following topics:

• What is Sophie?
• What are the various componenets of the interface?
• How do I add text?
• How do I insert multimedia elements?
• How do I create links?

Workshop

You will have the remainder of the class to work on your Multimodal Argument.
