• NASA Board Action Invention Award (2007) granted by NASA administrator Michael Griffin for the invention of “a Generic Simulation Environment for Modeling Future Launch Operation (GEM-FLO)”, NASA Case No. KSC-12488
•  NASA Software Invention Award (2006) granted by NASA administrator Michael Griffin for the “Shuttle Macro-Level Discrete-Event Simulation Model”, NASA Case No. KSC-12497

• Recognized by NASA’s administrator Mr. Sean O’Keefe in 2005 for the creative development of a technical innovation that has been approved for publication as a NASA tech brief entitled: “a Generic Simulation  Environment for Modeling Future Launch Operation (GEM-FLO)”

• Nominated for the Best Research Presentation Competition during the NASA/ASEE Faculty Fellowship Program
