This page will be the repository of everything (apart from the photographs) that I will be posting. Divided into two sections, Research and Course Related.

Incase you are getting ready to defend your two/four years of painful existence (MS/PhD), here is a small guide to get you guys on the way !

 Research Section:

My current research involves studying the biological potential propagation. We are currently working on building a modeling and simulation scheme for mapping the full body potential after a pulsed stimulus.

  • Voltage profile for a slice on a limb (taken around the mid section)
  • Potential on the nerve (for a trapezoidal 5kV pulse)
  • Volumetric profile of a rat.
  • Surface potential along a slice for the rat (charged with a 11 ns 1kV pulse)

UPDATE - I

As I write this - I have successfully, built a parallel modeling system. Currently, using INTEL compilers and MPI2, the system hit 10.2 GFLOPS using 10 processors (This was run on ORION - of course a bit of familiarity with the clusters out here might be needed) for this to make sense.

UPDATE - II

The part of direct stimulus is now officially done and verified. As of TODAY (04/04/06) - the system has been reported to be working at a yet another place. They have been able to get this up an running using gcc,g95 and LAM-MPI. They are happy and I am relieved. Now onto the remote stimuli module. Hope to be able to get this setup in a couple of months. To celebrate this here are some images from a simulation that we ran on a monkey's head using a more real world excitation.

(More coming soon!)
