As apparent from the image above (which incidentally
seems almost mandatory to be present - given the academic location of
this site and all that..), my origins can be traced back to a town
called Kanpur, located in northern India. I finished my undergraduate
studies out there, which was followed by a professional stint spanning
two years, subsequent resignation,
GRE/TOEFL
and all that, and then Masters(2003) in EE leading to the ongoing PhD
pursuit.
As I mentioned earlier, this site is being created
with the intent of providing a central repository of academic and ..well
non-academic resources from my end which may/may not pertain to myself.
Another reason why this is really a good idea - which am working towards
is that this makes a lot of sense - especially when distributing
assignments and other course related material to my colleagues and
sections. Also, I will be shortly posting a collection of articles
(technical/otherwise) I have written for the reference of anyone
interested. One of the most important collection would be that of some
simple scripts that I have had to create over the years to automate
several mind-numbing jobs. Almost all of these will be in
MATLAB and should be compatible
with versions 6.0 and beyond.
Graduate school has the ability to strip away
anything even remotely social. Nevertheless I have tried to keep writing
and some of that can be found at my
BLOG.
Every now and then, I receive electronic mail that
doesn't necessarily enhance my being - however I did receive one very
recently that caused a hysterical loss of bladder control.
Here it is...(thanks to LH for the same).
