THE VSA CONSTITUTION

III. Faculty Membership will be given to any faculty of ODU who so desires. Furthemore, any willing faculty will be given the position of faculty advisor if he/she so wishes to further their involvement in the activities of VSA beyound that of a regular member.

Article IV
I. The officers of this club shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary,andTreasurer. Their duties are as follows:
A. President: To take charge of this club and conduct any business necessary in the best interests of VSA.
B. Vice-President: To assist the president in the conducting of business in the best interests of VSA.
C. Secretary: To take notes at all meetings and maintain records an roosters pertinent to this club and ensure proper parliament procedure is followed.
D. Treasurer: To maintain records of funds and to make financial transactions in the best interests of VSA. A financial report will be presented at the beginning of each meeting.
II.Officer Conduct: An officer may be removed by majority vote of the other officers of VSA if it is their determination that said officer is not acting, or failing to act, in officers to fill a vacant post until the next scheduled election.
III.Elections will be held at the end of Spring semester, April 28. Any club member who meets the requirement noted in the following paragraph may be nominated for election to office.

IV. Requirements: President and Vice-President must have been a member of VSA for one full year, and prior to taking office, must be full time student at Old Dominion University. The Secretary and Treasurer must have been full time students for just one semester.

Article V
I.Meeting of VSA will be held on a weekly basis during the academic year; Spring semester from January 17 to April 28 and Fall semester from August 31 to December 2. Special Executive Meetings will be held when necessary.

Article VI
I. Dues of VSA will be set by the executive council of VSA prior to the Academic semester considering the fiscal needs of VSA for the upcoming semester. The dues will be obtained from officers, members, and faculties.


Article VII
I. Conduct: All members of VSA will be expected to conduct themselves in the manner of an ODU students as outlined in the ODU student handbook. Any violation of this handbook will result in a special executive meeting. Any disciplinary action determined for by the full executive council will carried out only after consultation with the head of the Student Activities Office Department.


Article VIII
I. An officer of this club may make a call to make an amendment to the VSA Constitution at any time. The amendment will be discussed and voted at the next general meeting of VSA.
