The BCM hosts several socials and fun events throughout the year. The typical socials are Fall, Valentine's Day, End of the year (Spring), Christmas and Opener's (Fall). There are a lot of unplanned socials, like ice-skating or a Tides game, that occur when students have free time too.

We believe that a crucial part of our ministry is having fun with friends without the fear of rejection or judgment. Also, we try to mix social with other fun events. For instance, the Valentine's social typically is a fundraiser as well. The money raised goes to send summer missionaries all over the world. There is nothing better than having fun while helping a good cause.

Socials can be a big task. Some of the dinners require decorating, planning, and clean-up. If you want to help this fun part of our ministry, be sure to let us know! We are always looking for an extra pair of hands.

Coffee House/Game Night: Friday January 15 from 7pm-10pm	Join us for a fun night of Coffee, Smoothies, Hot Chocolate, Cider, Snacks, Wii, Board Games, Puzzles, Movies and More!
Java the Hut: Concert Fundraiser: Sunday January 24 from 3pm-10pm	Open Mic from 3-4 followed by performances from: Josh Beeler, Travis Jaye (myspace.com.travisjaye), Rebekah McCaron (myspace.com/airomusic) and Landon Tucker (myspace.com/landontucker)
Valentine's Dinner & Auction: February 5 at 6pm	Dinner and Auction to celebrate Valentine's and to raise money for Summer Missions!  Items, Baked Goods and Service Activites (such as car cleaning, making a meal and so on) are auctioned off.  Open to Everyone and Anyone can donate items.
Movie/Game Night: February 17 at 7pm	Join us for a fun night of Coffee, Smoothies, Hot Chocolate, Cider, Snacks, Wii, Board Games, Puzzles, Movies and More!
Assassin Fundraiser: March 26 Time TBA	Players try to eliminate each other using water guns in an effort to become the last player standing.  Each player is given a name and they must find that player and shoot them with the water gun.  There are safe zones.  More exact rules will be explained at the beginning of the game.  The game will be played across the ODU campus. Each player will give $4 and the winner will get half of the money as prize.  The other half will go to summer missions.
End of Year/Graduation Banquet: April 23 at 6pm	This is a dressy dinner and celebration of the academic year and the 2010 graduates.  As of now the Graduates are: Bones and Lindsay.  If you are graduating as well please let Emilie know.
