All ODU Community Music Division instructors are highly qualified individuals who not only posses the knowledge of the instrument, but also the passion for teaching it. Whether a novice or advanced, our instructors teach students the principals of their instruments that help build a foundation for the rest of their lives.

NOELLE BONNEY
Clarinet

Music Teacher Noelle Bonney, a Gloucester County native and alumnus of Gloucester High School, completed her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Old Dominion University in December of 2008. She studied clarinet under Dennis Zeisler for seven years and was principal clarinet in the Old Dominion University Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. She performs in her church Praise and Worship Team and plays clarinet with the Virginia Wind Symphony. Noelle teaches elementary strings with Norfolk Public Schools at Willouby Elementary, Fairlawn Elementary, Bayview Elementary, Sewells Point Elementary, and Mary Calcott Elementary.
LAWRENCE WEINTRAUB
Clarinet, Saxophone, Jazz

Larry Weintraub toured from Key West, FL to CN in the States, and has done several trips to NYC for Navy Band gigs. Additionally, he has toured to Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Benin, Gabon, The Congo, Ireland and Halifax, Nova Scotia with Navy Bands. Larry has played backup for Keely Smith, Lee Greenwood, Marv Stamm, Chuck Mangione, and Roan Tinan (Irish Tenor) and in the band at Ft. Carson, CO from May '79 to Sept '81. Larry plays with his band, Swing Time, and also teaches private clarinet, saxophone and jazz classes for the CMD.
