Meet Leslie Mason

Hi, I'm Leslie! This is my first semester at ODU. I'm working on my Master's in Higher Education and serving as the graduate assistant for the Sophomore Success Program. I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, but later moved to Indiana, where I attended Ball State University and graduated with a degree in English Education. After teaching high school English for a few years and deciding I didn't love it, I baked for and managed a small coffee shop, and I also ran my own wedding and portrait photography business. In 2011, I married my high school sweetheart, ten years after we first began dating. My husband was offered a position with the ODU Physics Department and Pretlow Planetarium, so we moved to Virginia last year with our cat, Cheese, and dog, Quinn. Things that I love include cooking and baking, the Song of Ice and Fire series, Mike Doughty, macaroni and cheese, Breaking Bad, killer sudoku, The Chive, football (Go Colts!), autumn weather, and Barq's Root Beer. I'm usually camped out in my office in the Student Success Center, so stop by and say "hi" sometime!
