CQFE collected over 5700 pounds, almost three tons, of fresh fish last year to monitor the health of Virginia's fisheries stocks and conduct research worldwide.

After the removal of research organs (otoliths, scales, opercular covers, etc.),
CQFE donates all fresh fish to food charities.
