Fans Have Until Dec. 10 to Vote for ODU Soccer’s Tim Hopkinson

Tim Hopkinson, a forward on the Old Dominion University men's soccer team, is one of 15 players nationwide in consideration for the MAC Hermann Award, collegiate soccer's highest individual honor.

And ODU fans can help him be named a finalist for the award. Soccer fans can let their collective voice be heard by voting for their favorite player on the MAC (Missouri Athletic Club) website, hosted by LockerDome.

The top three vote-getters for both men and women from the combined NSCAA coaches and weighted fan votes will be announced as finalists Thursday, Dec. 12, followed by the announcement of the winners in January.

Hopkinson, a senior from Nottingham, England, was the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year, first team All-Conference and was named to the C-USA All-Tournament Team. He led Conference USA this season in points (28) and goals (12).

Hopkinson finished his career at ODU third all-time in total points (85), fourth all-time in goals (33) and seventh all-time in assists (19).

The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually during a January banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
