Brodericks to Host ODU Community Holiday Open House Dec. 6

President and Mrs. John R. Broderick invite faculty, staff, students and members of the community to a Community Holiday Open House on Thursday, Dec. 6, in the North Cafeteria of Webb Center.

The official kickoff of the holiday season at Old Dominion, the event will feature cookie-decorating, refreshments and entertainment. It will be from 5:30-7 p.m.

The open house is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, to benefit less fortunate children in the community.

Unwrapped toys will also be collected at the ODU basketball games that week - the Dec. 2 women's game against Dartmouth and the Dec. 4 men's game against Richmond.

Those planning to attend the open house should RSVP by Dec. 3 with their number of cookie decorators to 683-3116 or online at www.odu.edu/ao/univevents (event code: TOYS12).

Parking is available in Garage E, at the corner of 49th Street and Bluestone Avenue. For more information call the Office of University Events at 683-5759.
