Come celebrate our coastal community and learn about current research aiding its long-term preservation! This "Blue Connections" Annual Campus Theme presentation invites professors across ODU's campus to discuss local research activities related to flooding and sea levels and share how others can get involved. Featuring guest composer Judith Shatin's glacier-inspired electroacoustic work "Ice Becomes Water," Duke Ellington's jazzy "River Suite," and other works by Percy Grainger and Niels Gade.

The Diehn School of Music is proud to feature new faculty pianist Dr. Zachary Deak, who will perform Franz Liszt's Romantic and transformational Piano Concerto No. 2. Also featured are winners of the Virginia Music Teachers Association's 2023 Concerto Competition, performing movements Lalo's Cello Concerto, Bartók's Viola Concerto, and Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1. Presented as part of the 2023 Virginia Music Teachers Association Conference, hosted by ODU.
