Master of Business Administration:Graduate Certificates

Electives and Graduate Certificates

Students will have the choice of a General MBA program or dual credential by adding a Graduate Certificate. Students choosing to pursue the General MBA will take 4 credit hours of electives. Students will fulfill that requirement through a combination of 1, 2 or 3 credit hour electives of their choice. Three credit hour electives are offered in a wide range of topics and are typically those offered as a part of a certificate. The 1 & 2 credit hour electives are typically skill development modules. Skill topics include communication, creative thinking, negotiation, change management, and spreadsheet modeling.

Students wishing to specialize will have a selection of graduate certificate programs from which to choose. Graduate certificates are typically 12 credit hours, so students will be allowed to use certificate courses to fully satisfy the elective requirements for the MBA. Essentially, 4 credit hours of the 12 hours will also count toward the MBA degree.
