Whitehurst Hall, overlooking the Elizabeth River, is home to approximately 594 residents. Directly behind Whitehurst is a two-net volleyball sand pit, a gazebo, and a wooden boardwalk, and pier.
Whitehurst was constructed in 1983 and consists of two six-story towers. Located within Whitehurst are study lounges, laundry rooms, a convenience store, and a Legends Dining Center. Each room is fully furnished with bunkable beds, desks, chairs, dressers, trash and recycle cans, and a sink vanity.
Residents living in Whitehurst Hall are required to be on a meal plan. Please visit Dining Services' website for an explanation of all meal plans.

Students living in this residence hall have an Academic-Year Agreement Period from August 23, 2012 through May 11, 2013. Whitehurst Hall closes over break periods, including: Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks. Students will need to make alternate housing arrangements during this time.
