Front Desk Services
Desk Receptionists (DRs) help check out hall equipment, distribute loaner keys, and report facility problems, including those with laundry and vending equipment. The DR also provides information and security services for your residence including, monitoring visitation and the checking of in and out guests.
Laundry
Residents are provided "60 starts"" each semester on their ODU ID card, which is enough for 30 loads of laundry (1 wash + 1 dry = 1 load). If additional "starts" are needed, they can be purchased with Monarch Plus. Monarch Plus funds can be deposited at the University Card Center, located in the Webb Center, or online at link The "starts" can be carried over from fall to spring semester. Nusbaum apartment complex has a laundry room located at 49th and Killam; Powhatan has two laundry rooms throughout the complex. Swipes expire at the end of the spring semester agreement periods (May 5, 2012 for residence halls; May 31, 2012 for apartment communities).

Kitchenettes
Small kitchens are located throughout the residential complexes across campus. Many of the kitchenettes include a microwave, flat cook-top, and a sink for cooking up a snack for all your friends on your hall.
Lounges
Lobby and floor lounges are provided to residents and their guests for the purposes of studying and/or community-building activities.
Personal mail is delivered to each building or complex on a regularly scheduled basis. Packages or letters requiring a signature are delivered to the front desk.
University Village residents pick up their packages at the Milan Station Post Office on the corner of Colley Aveune and 38th Street. See each building page for their specific addresses.
