ALEKS-PPL Testing
Proctored ALEKS placement testing is available to students who have completed the initial assessment and the minimum of eight hours in the learning modules. Click here for general information on ALEKS-PPL and to get started if you have not already done so.
If you have completed the initial assessment and the minimum of eight hours in the ALEKS learning modules and are ready for a proctored ALEKS placement exam, then you may take the proctored exam either in-person or remotely over Zoom.
In-person ALEKS Proctored Placement Exam at the University Testing Center: For your exam, please bring a picture ID, writing utensil, and scrap paper. The ALEKS placement exam does not allow the use of a separate calculator.
Zoom ALEKS Proctored Placement Exam: Remote proctoring by Zoom requires two devices. One device must be a computer running Windows or Mac operating systems or an iPad. The ALEKS lockdown browser must be installed on this device and is available here. The second device must be able to run Zoom with a webcam and microphone. For your exam, please have a picture ID, writing utensil, and scrap paper. The ALEKS placement exam does not allow the use of a separate calculator.

Sciences Class Testing
Certain large sections in the College of Sciences utilize the University Testing Center for their exams. Your professor will inform you if this is the case for your class. Click here to schedule your testing appointment.

Internal ACCUPLACER Math Placement Test
Your math placement is determined by your highest SAT or ACT score or transfer credits. Those students who seek higher placement than MATH 101M or 103M must submit either an SAT score or an ACT score or they must agree to take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test.
Foreign Language Placement Test
The Foreign Language Placement test is administered in the Credentialing Center. Click here for more information.
