The Village Bookstore will host its first ever midnight book release event on Saturday, July 30 for J.K. Rowling's highly anticipated "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts I & II."

The event begins at 12:01 a.m. at the bookstore located at 4417 Monarch Way, in the University Village.

The new story continues the hugely popular series with Harry Potter now an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, who is a husband and father of three school-aged children.

According to a story description, "While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously; both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."
