Connecting the Dots: a Conversation with the Department of Management

How can we help our students learn? In-class discussions and encouraging writing-in-the-discipline both work. But, as faculty members in the Department of Management will discuss, one of the best ways to help students learn is by connecting lessons with what they'll be doing in their careers.

That's the focus of the next edition of the Provost's Conversations on Teaching and Learning.

On Thursday, Feb. 11 at 12:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Learning Commons@Perry Library, members of the management faculty - professor and Eminent Scholar Shaomin Li, associate professor Sara Morris and assistant professor Rachel Frieder - will share methods they have used to inspire students and to enable them to use academic knowledge in a systematic way throughout their lives.

Instructors and teaching assistants are welcome to join the conversation.
