Composer Hailstork Performs at Friends of the Libraries Event
Adolphus Hailstork, Old Dominion University professor of music and Eminent Scholar, will be the inaugural speaker for the Friends of the Old Dominion University Libraries' 2015 lecture series.
"Adolphus Hailstork: The Art of the Composer" will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22., in the F. Ludwig Diehn Composers Reading Room (Rm. 189) of the Diehn Fine & Performing Arts Center. The event is co-sponsored by the Old Dominion University Libraries.

Hailstork, composer of works such as "An American Port of Call," and "Amazing Grace: Organ Music of Adolphus Hailstork," will play a selection of pieces, give an overview of his 44-year career, and allow time for questions and discussion. Light refreshments will follow.
Throughout 2015 Friends of the ODU Libraries will celebrate the integral role of the ODU Libraries to students, faculty, staff and the community by showcasing the interests and scholarship of ODU faculty members and alumni. All events will be held on campus, and will be free and open to the public.
