College of Health Sciences collaborative effort wins award

Gail Grisetti, from Old Dominion University's College of Health Sciences; Jonna L. Bobzien, from ODU's Darden College of Education; and Cathie Barker, Michelle M. Donnelly, Stephanie K. Roach and Beverly S. Khabo, four therapists from Dominion Pediatric Therapy, received the Best Paper Award from the International Organization of Social Science and Behavioral Research during its fall conference in Las Vegas, Nev.

The group recently collaborated on a trip to the Dominican Republic to educate a hospital staff there on how to treat autism spectrum disorder.

The group was recognized for "Making the Link: Providing Academic and Clinical Application Training to Rehabilitation Staff in the Dominican Republic."
