Robert K. Armstrong, Jr. is VMASC’s Battle Lab Director. Bob has a
MS in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in
Monterey, California and over 20 years of service in the United States
Marine Corps. As a Marine Corps Officer, he has held positions as:
Director and Deputy Director of Training and Education Technology
Division; Head, Battle Simulation Center, Twentynine Palms, California;
Executive Officer, Third Battalion, 11th Marine Artillery Regiment; and,
Fire Support Coordinator, 7th Marine Infantry Regiment. While at Training
and Education Technology Division, he was responsible for the
identification and functional design of all technology-based training
systems and environments used by the Marine Corps. Bob is presently a
student in Old Dominion University’s Modeling and Simulation graduate
program.
