Master of Science in Secondary Education
Concentration: Instructional Design & Technology
Graduate Program Requirements
The Instructional Design & Technology program is designed to meet the needs of professionals interested or involved in the design, development and delivery of instruction. The courses are appropriate for a variety of venues, including preK-12, military, and business. In this specialization, students select 24 to 30 credits in instructional technology plus the problems paper or seminar research option. Working with an advisor, students select courses that complement their backgrounds and professional goals.
All courses in the Core and Elective blocks plus ECI 635/636 will be offered in distributed format, via 2-way video conferencing or web-based..
Problem Paper Option: Area I (24 hrs); Area II (7 hrs)=31 hours total
Seminar Option: Area I (30 hrs), Area II (7 hrs)=37 hours

ECI 430/ 530-Instructional Technology and the Classroom

  (This course is recommended for preK-12 educators returning for degree work)
Note: ECI 430/530 has numerous campus sections but will be moving online spring 2003 for students more than 50 miles from campus.)
 

ECI 475/ 575-Web Development for Educators

  If you have web development skills, you do not need to take this course. See the basic competencies for this course to determine whether or not you should enroll.)
Course is taught online.

  If you have adequate digital media skills, you do not need to take this course. See the basic competencies for this course to determine whether or not you should enroll.)
